Can I tell you a secret?

Not really lol, that’s the name of the stamp I have used today, by Sarah Kay for Stampavie.  Still one of my favourites even though it’s a golden oldie.

bev-rochester-sarah-kay-can-i-tell--you-a-secret

I used some of the new German Glass Glitter that Wild Orchid Crafts has in stock in the most delish array of colours.  I used brown and light rose 100 grit on the flowers.  Loving the texture and bling.

Shabby Chic and a Little Color Chart!

Hello everyone!  Today is the start of a new challenge at the Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge Blog.  I hope you will join us.  There is always a wonderful prize to win!!!

Our theme is Shabby Chic with Friendship.

The papers are Papermania - Blueberry Hill, I colored with pencils and the super sweet image is one of the new releases called "Emma Swing" from Lili of the Valley.

I made a little color chart of a few of the pink flowers and a few of the white colored flowers.  I did this because sometimes it is not so easy to see the difference in the color shades unless they are next to one another.  I hope this helps you in picking out your flowers when you order from Wild Orchid Crafts.  They have such a LARGE selection of colors!!!! Eventually you will need to own them all!!!

Do you see what I mean?  There are subtle differences but enough to matter with your papers! It drives me crazy to have the wrong pink with my particular pink paper! haha! Look at the Rose Pink, it sort of reminds me of a dusty color and the Pink Mist is ever so slightly lighter than the Baby Pink.  If you need to just click on the picture and it will enlarge so you can read it better.  Now here are the whites I wanted to show you:

I put these really close together hoping that you could see the subtle differences.  The Deep Ivory could even almost pass for a pale yellow color.  Sometimes when you are using the bright white papers, you will notice if you use the wrong "white" flower.  The Ivory may look white, but it is so slightly darker than the white and so on.
I hope these two charts help you out.  As I get more purples I will probably do the same.

Thanks so much for stopping by the Wild Orchid Crafts Blog, where we always hope to give you a little more inspiration with your flowers and embellishments from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Happy Crafting,

Dena

Happy Friday! Today I want to share a Father's Day card I made. I used a lot of the new Classic Color Range Roses. They are so pretty and are perfect for a masculine style card. I just love the twine, which you can now purchase at WOC. I just love the way this card came out. These Classic Color Range Roses sure do inspire me to use the deeper colors in my cards.

Finery Galore at Wild Orchid Crafts!!

A very happy Thursday to each of you!! Thank you so much for dropping by the WOC Blog--we love seeing your smiling faces with each of your visits!!

Today you will find that there are so many new things being added on today at Wild Orchid Crafts and I know you don't want to miss them!!! Raffia paper ribbons...and gorgeous metal pieces galore!!! We already know that if WOC has them, they must be beautiful and fun to play with.

I wanted to show you a little card today which is a Sneaky Peek of the LOTV Sweet Emma walking two of the cutest little doggies ever!! And, oh my goodness, what better way to embellish this little darling than finery from Wild Orchid Crafts--as a matter of fact, tis the best finery anywhere!! In the floral treatment I used one of those gorgeous 40mm Trellis Roses flanked by 30mm Wild Roses, and 15mm Open Roses. Nothing is more beautiful than the WOC Roses!!!! I also used the lovely Gold Filigree Decorative Metal Corners which really add to the elegance methinks. The lovely ribbon I have used is the 25mm Burgundy Organza which ties so beautifully and situates itself so nicely on your cards. Check out all of the gorgeous colors and sizes that are also available!

When I go to WOC the first thing I have on my mind is FLOWERS...FLOWERS...FLOWERS....But have a look around and you will find so many other embelllishments which are so wonderful also---you don't want to miss a thing on your next visit to the shop!!!

Thanks again for your visit and we hope to see you here again very soon!!! Hugs from Jacque!

Sneak Peek – New products on sale Thursday 9th June

I have a sneak peek for you today of  new products from Wild Orchid Crafts (these go on sale tomorrow).  The stamp is from the new release from Lili of the Valley that goes on sale on 14th June.

Bev-Rochester-LOTV-Summer-Days

New to WOC is the stunning Raffia Ribbon and the “antique look” charms – I have used two different butterflies on this card.  The raffia ribbon comes quite compressed but I unrolled it to give a crinkled vintage look which I must say I love!!  It’s so easy to work with too and because it is essentially paper it shapes beautifully and stays put.

Bev-Rochester-LOTV-Summer-Days1

The sentiment is also from Lili of the Valley’s Clear Additions range.  The lace, pearls, button and flowers are also from Wild Orchid Crafts – Trellis rose, cherry blossoms, 20mm roses, 15mm roses, 10mm roses, 4mm rose buds.
