Holiday Card

Hello crafty souls Ulrika here!

My three month as a Wild Orchid Crafts designer is coming to an end and this will be my last post here. I couldn´t help myself from creating one more Holiday card. It´s so much fun!

For my card I have layered paper, tags, dolies and different die-cuts. I have also mixed some of my handmade flowers and some ready to use flowers.

I think this color combination with white, red and teal really feels festive and fun!

Both Berries and some of my flowers have a nice sparkly coat of glitter.

Thank you for visiting the Wild Orchid Crafts blog today! Hugs from Ulrika!

Mini album.

Hi everyone!

I want to sow you a minialbum I made a while ago. I discovered that the lovely small flowers called Sweetheart blossoms were perfect to decorate inside the album with. The size of Sweetheart blossoms  seems to be made for this kind of projects ;-) I decided to use them on the outside as well to match the inside of the album, and the fabric I used to cover the album

I hope you liked my work. The album was so much fun to make :-)
Thanks for stopping by ❤︎

Love, Cathrine.

Card with tags and step-by-step

Hello everyone!
Today I want to share with you a vintage card and a small step-by-step tutorial showing how I did it.

So, let's start with the tutorial.
At first I prepared my card base.

I wanted to achieve such a composition:

I adhered the first tag with small 3mm 3D foam squares.

Then I adhered the middle layer using big 3mm 3D foam squares.

And I attached the top tag.

Then I started adding flowers. I began from hydrangea blooms (I used 35mm and 50mm earth tone hydrangeas).

Next I added 2 dark red wild roses (on the bottom) and one 25mm ivory open rose (on the top).

Then I attached 20 mm pink and peach open roses...

... and some 15 mm pink and peach open roses.

I added hip rosebuds to bouquets...

... and some leaves.

After attaching bows made of twine and vintage seam binding ribbon...

... and painting slightly all flowers with white acrylic paint, the card was ready.

Thank you for stopping by :)
Have a nice day!

Wee Daphne

Not a Christmas card for a change, I don’t know about you but I am sick of the sight of Christmas cards.  As always, the delicious embellishments are from Wild Orchid Crafts and are listed at the end of the post.  , I used 25mm wild roses,Open roses 20mm, 15mm, mixed vintage colour hydrangea blooms (which I tucked under the roses), small gardenia, crown pins and dotted pearls for extra texture and interest.  I love how they pull all the colours together.

Sarah Kay Noel

Hi there, here’s another Christmas card.

bev-rochester-sarah-kay-christmas-postbox

The rhinestones, seam binding and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The flowers are wild rose, open roses 15mm.  I got a bit carried away with the rhinestones and dotted them amongst the flowers for an extra bit of sparkle

Love the dimension of the double bow.
