Holiday Card

Hello crafty souls Ulrika here!

My three month as a Wild Orchid Crafts designer is coming to an end and this will be my last post here. I couldn´t help myself from creating one more Holiday card. It´s so much fun!

For my card I have layered paper, tags, dolies and different die-cuts. I have also mixed some of my handmade flowers and some ready to use flowers.

I think this color combination with white, red and teal really feels festive and fun!

Both Berries and some of my flowers have a nice sparkly coat of glitter.

Thank you for visiting the Wild Orchid Crafts blog today! Hugs from Ulrika!

Christmas box and matching card

Hello crafty souls Ulrika here!

I think it´s really nice to have a matching box with your card when you give it to someone really special! I think my sons teacher will get this box and card as Christmas gift. It´s really easy to fold your own box just make sure the box is a bit larger than your card so the card will fit in your box.

For my card and box I used papers from Swedish Maja Design.

The lid on the box and the card inside have similar design but still slightly different. On my lid I framed the image with a snow themed chipboard frame.

I chose white, grey and silver grey flowers for my flower cluster. For more shapes and textures I also added white frosted berries and white bead stamens.

When you open the box you find the card inside.

I used the same shape for the image but framed it different.
On both papers and embellishments I used Gesso for some white wash and highlights. I think the white Gesso add to the wintry feeling almost looking like snow.

Birthday Wishes

Hello, crafty friends! It's Karen here with a wee bit of birthday inspiration for a dear friend's special day. ♥︎

She loves elegance and sweetness, so I paired beautifully ruffly white blossoms with darling Rose Pink roses. Isn't that a gorgeous shade of pink? ♥︎ It is stunning and perfect for my Maja Design papers.
I continue to be enamored with the relatively new White Lotus flowers... the abundance of sunshiny yellow nestled in the centers is irresistible. ♥︎ I have nestled it alongside a Chrysanthemum, which has long been one of my all-time favorite WOC blooms.
For the center detailing, adorable miniature sweetheart blossoms accompany Rose Pink roses, to which I added a tiny trail of pearls.

Thank you for fluttering on by and I wish you a beautiful day! ♥︎

Hugs,
Karen ♥︎

Baby Love

Hello, crafty friends! It's Karen here, fluttering in to share a sweet little Welcome Baby card. Is there anything more precious than baby love? ♥︎
To celebrate the new arrival, I have used several of Wild Orchid Crafts' dreamy blues. The pastel and antique blue blossoms are a favorite of mine (especially for wintry creations). ♥︎
For a trio of larger delights, I have paired the new Lotus with a Trellis Rose and a Magnolia. The Mixed Pastel Magnolias collection is truly magnificent. ♥︎ For additional touches of blue, I nestled in Aster Daises, Lilies, and Cherry Blossoms.
Thank you for visiting and I wish you a wonderful day!

Hugs,
Karen ♥︎

Blossoming Love

Hello, crafty friends! It's Karen here with a love card featuring the newest WOC rose: Chelsea! Aren't they stunning? I incorporated two ivory chelsea roses and I am thoroughly enamored with them. ♥︎
The large pink magnolias are from the pastel magnolia set. They are perfectly dreamy and pair beautifully with the chelsea roses. The gorgeous shade of pink also appears in several other flowers, with the sweet cherry blossom being my favorite. ♥︎
Nestled up top is a white Lotus, which is also a recent addition to WOC. The blossoming heart trails downward to miniature sweetheart blossoms and tiny rosebuds. The edges of my flowers are painted in sweet sparkle. ♥︎
Thank you for visiting and I wish you a beautiful day! ♥︎

Hugs,
Karen ♥︎

Birthday card with foamiran flower

Hello, Monika here :)
Do you know, that in Wild Orchid Crafts you could buy lots of flower making products? There are foam, stamens, embellishments and even dies.
Today I would like to show you my birthday card with a foamiran flower.

To make my flower I used ivory foam and white stamen. As a base of the flower cluster I adhered some pink sissal, added gorgeous pink/ivory lotus flower, some cherry blossoms and miniature sweetheart blossoms. I also added two tone leaves.

Have you tried to make your own foam flowers? It`s a lot of fun :)

I also used some of the new Pink Double Stamens (love them!!), Mulberry Paper Leaves, Guipure Lace, Vintage Seam Binding, Flat Back Pearl String and Pearl Sprays, as well as Self-Adhesive Pearls. I also added tulle for a bit of added texture.
