Fabric Flower Hair Accessories

Hello, everyone and happy Monday!! Lisa here to share a project with you today using several Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and embellishments. This month, the designers were challenged to step outside of our crafty box and create projects that were different from our norm.

For my projects today, I created hair accessories using gorgeous fabric flowers.

For the headband (that could be used for a wedding) I used Almond Blossom, Almond Blossom and Babies Breath Flowers.

I also used Pearl Drop Trim, Flat Back Pearl String, Pearl Spray, White Stamens and Bead Berry Sprays.

For this barrette, I used Autumn Blossom and Babies Breath Flowers.

I adhered the flower to a piece of grungeboard that is sturdy but malleable. I then glued it to the barrette.

For this barrette, I used Autumn Blossom and Babies Breath flowers, as well as Bead Berry Sprays, Skeleton Leaves, Mulberry Leaves and Pearl Sprays.

Starry Christmas

Hello, crafty friends! It's Karen here. This month the designers were asked to step outside of our comfy zones and create in styles different than our typical. There are two I will be dabbling in and up first is my take on Clean and Simple! ♥️

For true CAS crafters, this may be viewed as too much... but coming from all out shabby chic with oodles of layering and texture, even *this* was challenging for me.
I created a Christmas bauble card, featuring pretty pearls, lace, and of course a few gorgeous flowers. Red and white aster daisies nestle beneath a sparkling Christmas rose. ♥️
My chipboard bauble hangs from a pearl string, which dangles from a white net lace border. I was super excited to see that the two largest stars on my bauble were the perfect match for WOC's pearl stars. I happy danced while adhering them! It was a nice way to incorporate texture without adding layers to the open card space.
As terrifying as this challenge was, I'm very excited about it! Who knew I could get this close to CAS? It may help during the Christmas rush that will be here before we know it. Thank you for visiting and I wish you a beautiful day! ♥️

Hugs,
Karen ♥️

I Hold You in My Heart

Hello, crafty friends! It's Karen here with a shabby little encouragement card. ♥︎
I adore Wild Orchid Crafts pastels, which make it easy for me to add pops of sweet pink love (roses/leaves) and sunshiny yellow (cherry blossom). ♥︎
Vintage Seam Binding and Lace are knotted together for shabby bunting, while gorgeous Autumn Blossoms ruffle atop it. Each knot is placed between the pearls of WOC's lovely Pearl String, which is very pretty in person. ♥︎
Flat-back Pearl String adorns my chipboard frame for added elegance. For a touch of sparkle, Bead Berry Clusters are nestled alongside the cherry blossoms. The clusters are one of my favorite WOC embellishments to sprinkle in my creations. ♥︎

Thank you for fluttering on by and I wish you a beautiful day!

Hugs,
Karen ♥︎
