Happy Easter :)

 

Hi peeps and a very Happy Easter to everyone – enjoy your day whatever you are doing :)

I thought l’d share this card with you today as it is such a happy and uses some of the prettiest blooms I think.

I used one of the gorgeous sweetheart blossom which remind me of those little icing sugar flowers you get to decorate cakes with – I love them :)

    

 

I also used a few more sweetheart blossoms and some other  WOC blooms as well on the bottom section - daffodils, a 25mm wild rose, some tea rosebuds and some long stem stamens

Do keep an eye out on the website because there are some lovely new products being added all the time and I can tell you that they are just beautiful.

Spring Blooms :)

Good morning lovelies – Dawny P here and I just thought I’d share a little bit of Spring with you today.

I do believe that the cold dark days are disappearing and everything is starting to wake up again (apart from moi of course, lol!!)

This is a card I made recently and I really do love the colours – very fresh and clean :)

The  blooms I used in this little arrangement which are all from Wild Orchid Crafts of course,  are ….

I also used some of the gorgeous self adhesive pearls and coloured them with my Copics to match the card. All the other details for this card can be found on my blog here :)

Pretty In Pink

 

Hello peeps and hope that you are all OK.

I thought I’d share a card I made recently with you  which uses some of the beautiful blooms that are available at Wild Orchid Crafts right now.

 

And it’s this one here.

I used the blooms to enhance the image and I wanted it to look like the swing was hanging from the flower garland.

The centre flower is a 40mm Classic Sweet Rose in pale pink. Then I made 2 sprays for each side using 6mm closed rosebuds,  some 8mm semi open roses, and some 5mm closed rosebuds. The ‘fill in’ flowers are 15mm open roses, and 10mm open roses.

I find the easiest way to do these is to make up the sprays first – just bind the wire stems together and bend into the shape you want, then adhere to your card leaving enough room for the fill in flowers. 

I also used some vintage seam binding which I made into 2 little bows. This is the prettiest stuff I have seen in ages and it is so easy to work with :) I finished off the bows with a  self adhesive pearl  and also added some on either side of the sentiment.

If you find that you haven't got the exact colour pearl or rhinestone that you need  to match your card, you can colour the white pearls and clear rhinestones using your Copics or Pro Markers.

Pretty Petals

I thought I’d share an idea that I had that uses the very sweet hydrangea blooms which are available here.

I think these are so versatile and easy and quick to use. You could just pop a self adhesive pearl in the centre and simply use them like that or you could add a small rose like I have done here.

The roses I used are white 10mm open roses and all you have to do is …

• feed the wire rose stem from front to back through the hole in the centre of the hydrangea petal
• then bring the wire stem back to the front between one of the gaps between the petals
• wind the wire stem round the base of the rose 2 or 3 times
• cut off any excess.

You don’t need to use glue or tape as it will all sit together nicely and will not come apart and they take no time at all to put together.

And that’s what we like :)

This is how I used them on my card.

I think it’s quite a nice way to add blooms when you are short of time or you want to go for a less is more kind of look. Although the blooms are available in 12 different shades, the white ones can be coloured with your Copics or Promarker pens really easily.

I also used some of the pretty self adhesive rhinestones which you can get in sheets,  or as gorgeous swirls and all the hard work is done for you.

They are very VERY pretty  :)
