Card and step-by-step

Hello everyone!
Today I want to share with you a card and a small step-by-step tutorial to show you how I prepared it.

First I prepared some pieces of paper and made a layered card base, as shown below.

When the layers were ready, I inserted and glued summer blooms between them.

Then I added chrysanthemums...

...big lily flowers...

...and some small green lilies.

I placed some green hydrangea blooms as leaves.

I added self adhesive pearl flourishes.

Then I attached bows made of twine. After painting slightly all flowers with white acrylic paint, my card was ready.

Thank you for stopping by :)
I wish you a great Thursday!

So, let's start.

At first I prepared my card base.

Then I made a big flower using WOC Summer Blooms.

I started adding flowers. I began from my big flower and two white chrysanthemums.

Next I added some cosmos daisies...

I adhered a lace and a chipboard corner.

Blooms and wee pearls are two of my favorite things...lalalalala

Happy Tuesday everyone!! I hope you week is going well and that you have as much sunshine as we have...if not, I will be more than happy to share!!! Today is not my day to post.....but I thought I would sneak right in with a little card I made using some of the SUMMER MIXED BLOOMS or PETALS from Wild Orchid Crafts. I don't use these blooms often but when I do, I just LOVE the looks of them!!! I find that I can have just as much dimension with them.

These beautiful mulberry paper blooms, also known as petals, come in a pack of 100. They are in mixed sizes and shapes (2cm - 5cm), and they are perfect for embellishing all cardmaking and scrapbooking projects. I have used the MIXED PINK/WHITE TONE BLOOM SET and by using the various shades of pinks I was able to match the DP so closely!!!! To get the added dimension, I first put the flowers together with silver floral brads which made the flowers curl...and then I used some Helmar 3-Dimensional Scrap Dots (which is like a silicon gel) to adhere the flowers to the card.

I also have to rave a bit about the absolutely magnificent Self-Adhesive Pearls and Rhinestones available over at WOC. I usually have my cards dripping with pearls but for this card I just had to use a couple of the 3mm White Pearls for the buttons on Milly's dress!! AND these pearls are now discounted to an AMAZINGLY LOW price so jump over and check them out before they are all gone!!!!

Well, I guess I have sneaked in long enough...so enjoy your day and drop back by here often to see some magnificent ideas and get fully inspired by the beautiful products available at WOC! Hugs from Jacque!!

Thanks a Bunch......

Good Morning!!
Today I have a more mainly card to share. I don't really
love to do them because I love adding alot of embellies!
I usually find "manly" embellies hard to do but I love how this
card turned out. I filled the card but it is not girly.

The newer summer blooms flowers, I think, are perfect as they
are not too flashy for a male card. Here I used a white and blue
one.  I just added a simple pearl in the center of each and
added some Rock Candy distress paint to them.
Also the vintage seam binding in Walnut doesn't look
to girly either. I wet the ribbon and scrunched it up then
placed in a bag over night to get it all messy and crinkly.

To finish it off I just added a few rhinestones down the side.
(Buttons I think are always good for a manly card as well!)

Is anyone else with me when making the manly cards?
Usually I don't like them but I rather like the selection on this one!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!
:)Kathy
