Today I'd like to share a home decor piece I made using an artist canvas.
The gorgeous WOC lace was painted to match the canvas. Self adhesive Rhinestones accent the flowers on the fan. WOC flower arrangement consists of a 25mm Tea Rose, 25mm Rose, 20mm Rose, 8mm Semi-opened Roses, Gypsophilas, 4mm Rosebud, and Small Sequin Butterfly.
One more angled view for you to see all that shimmer and sparkled beauty. I hope you have enjoyed seeing my home decor project!
♥ Thanks for stopping by! ♥
What a lovely canvas.

ReplyDeleteThis is stunning Kim. What did you use to paint your canvas? I have never done anything like this but this really makes me want to try!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the inspiration.
Thank you Christine! You can read how I created this on my personal blog here: http://craftsbykim.blogspot.com/2012/06/mixed-media-love.html

PS - It really isn't hard at all!!! :)
Absolutely Stunning Kim. Can I ask if you have to treat the canvas before painting etc. Hugs Rita xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Rita,
DeleteNo I did not treat my canvas before I started. I used Luminarte products and they worked beautifully! You can read how I made this on my personal blog here: http://craftsbykim.blogspot.com/2012/06/mixed-media-love.html

ReplyDeleteI love how I was just thinking about doing a canvas and then one is posted on here. Great job, I'm not a huge fan of pink but this shade is just right. Really beautiful with the iridescent look. Can you tell me though when you add flowers to a project do you just glue them down or do you use the floral tape and then glue them down?
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah~ I use the Crafter's Pick Indredibly Tacky Glue that is available here: http://www.wildorchidcrafts.com/us/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=106&products_id=1314
Deleteat WOC! :) It's by far the best glue that I've come across! :) You're flower don't move once it's dry!
I do prepare my flower arrangements before I glue anything down. Hope this help :)
Hugs~ Kim
