Tweetest Friends in purple

Hi everybody!!

Monday the 15th of July was the start of a new challenge at Wild Orchid Challenges and what we want you to do is use blue and/or purple tones on your projects. You still have a few days left to enter so I thought I'd show you the project I did as inspiration for this challenge. I needed one more teacher gift so I decided to make a Slip Cover box as these are super quick to make and decorate it with Tweetest Friends by Little Cottage Cuties from Whimsy Stamps.
The pretty design paper I used is by Maja Design and it's from the Vintage Spring Basics line. I used purple and white cardstock and I embossed the white decorative layer with a Birds and Swirls Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. The pretty decorative die-cut behind the image is of course cut with the largest Spellbinders Floral Oval Nestabilities.
The Wild Orchid Crafts products I've used are:
A close up of the pretty image.  As always colored with Copic Markers and 3D paper pieced. I decided not to paper piece the little flowers.

Hope you like my project and will get inspired to join us at Wild Orchid Challenges. Have a great day everybody!!!

Hugs,

It's a Wee One

Hi everybody,

Today I want to show you a card I created with Wee Stamps' Wee One (also available as a rubber stamp at Whimsy Stamps).
Isn't this stamp just gorgeous? The pretty papers that I used are KaiserCraft Bundly of Joy Collection combined with pink and kraft colored cardstock and some corrugated kraft cardstock. Everything has been distressed with distress ink, Picket Fence Crackle Paint and frantage. The cute corners are actually two Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Square die cuts cut into four. The ribbon was actually attached to a baby gift basket I received when my youngest daughter Amy was born five years ago. I thought it was very pretty and took it off before reusing the basket. The sentiment is an old one from Elzybells which unfortunately no longer exists. The baby feet charm is from Marianne Design Newborn Charms. Of course I added some gorgeous Wild Orchid Craft flowers, used are:
Pink set of Mixed Flowers (the different sets of mixed flowers seem to be completely sold out)
Pink Mulberry Paper Wild Roses 30 mm
Mixed Pink Carnation Flowers
Ivory Open Roses 25mm

A close up of the adorable little image, as always colored with Copic Markers and completely 3D paper pieced.

Have a great day everybody!

Happy Birthday Gift Box

Happy Saturday to everyone and thank you so much for dropping by to see what's happening at the Wild Orchid Blog. We hope you will want to come by each day and check out how the DT members have used the magnificent products from the Wild Orchid Crafts shop!

I made this simple 6" x 6" Happy Birthday Gift Box using many of the products from the WOC shop:

Pearl Drop Trimming
Aster Daisies

Here is a side view so you can see more of the products....

The DP is from the Maja Design Sofiero line and the organza butterflies are from my stash. You can't see, but I have also used the flat Back Scalloped Pearls on the bottom of the box for the 4 feet. The round sentiment is from Rubbernecker and was stamped using light blue chalk ink.

Again, thanks for coming by and we hope to see you again real soon! Until the next time, big hugs from Jacque!
