Happy Friday Friends!

 Today I have another "easel" post it note holder creation to share with you!  This one I made for my friend at work as part of her birthday present and she loved it.  It looks so cute on her desk!

 Flower arrangement was with 30mm Wild Rose, 25mm Wild Roses, Poppies, 15mm Roses, 10mm Roses, 8mm Semi-Open Rosebuds, and 4mm Rosebuds.

 The double bow was made using the NEW Vintage Seam Binding in Cream and accented with a 10mm Rose.

The bottom panel of my easel was decorated with 20mm Roses, 8mm Semi-Open Rosebuds, 4mm Rosebuds, and purple Stamens.

Girly Christening

I have to admit, it's not often I make cards for Christening celebrations, but here's one I made, with lots of beautiful roses and pearls from Wild Orchid Crafts :)

I used these embellishments from Wild Orchid Crafts: Open Paper Roses 25 mm, 20 mm, 15 mm & 10 mm, Semi Open Roses 8 mm, Rosebuds 4 mm & Self Adhesive Pearls.

Spice Up Those Paper Blooms!

Today, I would like to give you a few ideas on spicing up those paper blooms.  Wild Orchid Crafts has a fantastic selection of these flowers and I am finding myself using them more and more!

Here is the first idea:

To create these daylily looking flowers I used this set of Paper Blooms.

Pull the stamens through the center part of the flower and don't pull them all the way down, let them poke up a bit. Gather the flower from underneath pushing all the petals together.  Add a drop of glue down in the center where the stamens are attached and push the bottom of the flower through the hole in the cardstock to hold while it dries.

After the glue has had a chance to dry, start shaping your flower. That's it!  You can curl the petals or leave them straight. Let your imagination run wild.

Next, lets make a daisy looking flower:

Chalk the center of the flower with the desired color, I used green, and then tip the edges with a color to coordinate with your design paper.  I wanted a peach color here, so I used orange.  Now, add your stamens to the center of the flower.

I pushed all the petals up but not all the way just to give it some shape.

Here's the final product on a card.  I can't show the card yet, but it will be on my blog soon!

A new card in complementary colors - red and green. These where all part of an article in Ett trykk about using complementary colors. A bit of a struggle, since this is not a combination I use very often ;) Papers are from 3ndy. Motif is from Stempelglede, colored with Copics. Text and white diamonds are from Kort og Godt. Leafpunch from MS and labelpunch from StampinUp. The beautiful roses are both from Wild Orchid Crafts: Tea roses and Wild curly roses.

A Chat Between Friends

Good Morning and Happy April, I have a Tilda card to share with you today, this darling image makes me smile everytime I look at it.

 

 

I wanted to keep a fresh look to this card and I think the lovely papers from Nitwits Download “Noahs Ark” are perfect.  I have used Cherry Blossom Flowers and have taken the middle from 2 of them and added 5cm white roses, The fabulous lace and seam binding are also from Wild Orchid Crafts.   Thank you Paul and Siri for bringing all these wonderful products to us, what did we do before we had them.

A touch of Spring

I am loving the warm spring weather we have been having with more on the way (apart from that dreadful wind we had yesterday!)  So I thought I would share a spring card with you (okay and to show off me new Hanglar & Stanglar stamps lol).

The little yellow flowers are the new Sweetheart blossoms that should be on the website soon so keep yer eyes peeled girls.  They are the most divine little flowers, the perfect size as a filler flower without being too small, love them!

Orange Spring Love!

Hi There! I have a card for you using some colors I don't use very often. I always tend to go for girly colors, but then when  make a card like this I say wow, I can use those colors too. I really love the way this card came out. I think the images are just darling!
