A Victorian Christmas

Happy Friday and thank you so much for dropping by to see what's happening here! We hope you will come by each day to check out how we have used the marvelous products from Wild Orchid Crafts.




I have used a number of Wild Orchid Crafts products on my little Victorian Christmas card. The image is from an old Lungirl CD which I printed on photo paper. For the horizontal I used 1" Organza Ribbon with a grouping of Miniature Gold Bells tied with Gold Metallic Cord. The floral arrangements are resting on Mulberry Holly Leaves. I have used 1 1/2" Tea Rose, 1" Wild Roses, Closed Rosebuds, and White Stamens.

On this little easel card I used a gorgeous 2-tone Hybrid Tea Rose, Carnations, Sweetheart Blossoms, and such cute, tiny 1/8" Closed Rosebuds, as well as some lovely Pearl Sprays from the Bridal Section and some Self-Adhesive Pearls.

When you visit the Wild Orchid Craft store, remember to always click on the New Products and Featured Products....gosh I'm telling you my secrets!! wink

She's apples

Good morning!

A little blue and red card to share with you today!

Isn't that blue rose amazing?  It is a 40 mm Trellis Rose, it is sitting there with some red hybrid 25 mm tea roses and ivory sweetheart blossoms.  The twine is also from Wild Orchid Crafts. Hidden to the left is a little white Lily and paper fern leaf.

The stamps and dies are from Magnolia. The papers are Lily Bee Design.

Pink and Green and some WONDERFUL, EXCITING NEWS!!!!!

For this card I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting and the DP is by Colorbok. All background panels are machine stitched. The darling little hÄnglar & stÄnglar girl, from the Sailor Kids collection, was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics. Her clothing, shoes and hairbows are paper-pieced with MM Pink Dots. She was then cut out with triple Nesties. For the horizontal I used a pink double-faced satin ribbon tied into a bow and topped with an organza butterfly by CreaMotion. The floral treatment is all by Wild Orchid Crafts: Gardenia Stem Flowers, Hybrid Tea Roses, and Long Stem Stamens. WOC Pearls soften the corners.



For the first panel on the inside I used the same ribbon, another organza butterfly and some GORGEOUS Guipure Lace from WOC. For the jotting panel I used the lattice circle diecut trimmed with more WOC Pearls.

Two purple cards :)

Sorry, there will be no Eastercards from me *lol* But I do have two purple cards to show you instead :) Both images are digistamps from Sugar Nellie, and colored in Copics and Prismacolors. Lovely papers from Maja Design and punches from StampinUp and MS. Dies are from Spellbinders and Marianne Design. I have of course embellished my cards with lovely flowers and pearls from Wild Orchid Crafts, just like I always do: 5mm Self Adhesive pearls, 15mm Open roses, Wild rose and Tea rose :)

A new card in complementary colors - red and green. These where all part of an article in Ett trykk about using complementary colors. A bit of a struggle, since this is not a combination I use very often ;) Papers are from 3ndy. Motif is from Stempelglede, colored with Copics. Text and white diamonds are from Kort og Godt. Leafpunch from MS and labelpunch from StampinUp. The beautiful roses are both from Wild Orchid Crafts: Tea roses and Wild curly roses.

Spring is in the air

Happy Tuesday Wild Orchid Friends!  I hope you are all having a fabulous week!  Today I want to share the post it note holder that I have made :) 

You can find the tutorial here.  I've used the Cameo Rose SCACD stamp.  Paperes are from MME Stella Rose Hattie collection. 

On the upper panel I've used the gorgeous Wild Orchid Craft ivory daisy chain lace.  In the bottom right hand corner you will see a silver metal corner filigree.  I absolutely LOVE these...they add the perfect vintage feel to the card and are light weight. 

 The Wild Orchid flowers arrangement consists of a Classic Sweet Rose, 25mm Hybrid Tea Roses (that were airbrushed to match my blues), 15mm roses, Hip Rosebuds, 4mm Closed Rosebuds, and Pearl Sprays.  

Here you can see the holder where the post it note pad will go.  I've used  15mm roses, 4mm Closed Rosebuds, and Pearl Sprays to accent the bottom.  I hope you've enjoyed my project!

Pink weddingcard

I have a pink weddingcard to show yoy today :) The text is in norwegian and from Stempelglede. I've used a gorgeous 40mm Tea Rose and a 25mm Wild Rose together with some bling and a few butterflies to embellish my card. I have also used my sewingmachine around the edges of the panel.

Heartshaped easelcard

Today I like to show you a heartshaped easelcard filled with lots and lots of gorgeous flowers :)) Perfect for a weddingcard, don't you think? Texts are from Stempelglede and Kort og Godt. Butterflies are from Karen Marie Klip. The flowers I used are of course from WOC excellent selection: 25mm, 20mm and 15mm Open Roses,  25mm and 40mm Tea Roses and Cherry Blossoms.

Roses for Christmas

I have a card to share today that I did for the Just Magnolia challenge using the Cracked Glass technique (which I do NOT like lol). 

The flowers and lace are all from Wild Orchid Crafts, I used 40mm hybrid tea rose, 25mm hybrid tea roses, 15mm roses, 10mm roses, 8mm semi open roses and 4mm rose buds.  The pearls are also from Wild Orchid Crafts.

 

I decided I don’t like the cracked glass look so as soon as I had photographed the card for the Just Magnolia challenge I pulled the image off and replaced it with a plain and ordinary coloured image minus the cracks and wrinkles.  Much better lol.

Tilda dancing with WOC flowers

Summer is nearly over...and the kids have gone back to school :)

But I'm still enjoying the summerdays that's left - also to do some crafting :)

I've used a Magnolia - Tilda image (and a text from Norsk Stempelblad) on this card, stamped with Archival Ink on aquarellpaper, and coloured with Distress Ink - refills.

The PP are from Maja Design - Sommartider "Blommor i sitt hår".

I've used some beautiful flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts to embellish the card
(of course); Hybrid Tea Rose 25 mm (white) & Cherry Blossoms (pale pink), springled with rainbow glitter.

The pearls & rhinestones are from Kort & Godt.

Flower Cluster Tutorial

Gather your Wild Orchid Craft Flowers and lay them in the places you want them to be, with all of the stems going the same way.

Twist them all together, one at a time. Here I added another flower, you cant have enough of them!

I tucked the stems behind the image and taped them down.

Here’s the card. You may have to add a little piece of double sided tape to the large flowers just to keep it a little sturdier.

I used Cream Aster Daisies, 35mm Cream Wild roses, 25mm Tea Roses, Wild Roses, 15mm blue Roses. heart ribbon slider.

Blue glittery roses for Christmas & a sneekpeek

I've made my first Christmas card of the year, and wanted to share it with you!

The card is made in all blue and white, and I've used several beautful roses from

 Wild Orchid Crafts to embellish it!

I've used Wild Orchid Crafts - Hybrid Tea Roses 25 mm (babyblue), Paper Roses 10mm & 15 mm (navyblue, babyblue, cornflower & grey/navyblue), white Poinsettias (sneekpeek - cooming soon) & Pearl Spray to embellish the card - all springled with geourgeous glass glitter

 to make them sparkle.

The image (and text) from Lili of the Valley's new Christmas People Collection 2010 (launched today), are stamped on aquarellpaper and coloured with Distress Inks. Some of the details have also got a springle of glass glitter. The papers are from Maja Designs Christmas Collection from last year, and the rhinestones are from Kort & Godt. The beautiful "frame" around the image, is created with Marianne Design - CreaTables LR 0112 (Bunny Zoe's Crafts) and Spellbinders - Nesting Classic & Petite Circles.
