Flowers and Sunshine

Hello Everyone~

Hope you are having a wonderful week so far!  I'm at CHA and it is awesome...however I got a migraine at the end of day one so that hasn't been the greatest...hoping the headache goes away REAL fast!  Today I have a fun summery card to share with you all and what goes better with summer than flowers! :)
For my card I have used this new cutie from the WOJ Summer Store Stamp Kit.  Papers are Cosmo Cricket from the DeLovely collection and have been stickalized with star dust stickles. .
Flower are from the famous, Wild Orchid Crafts.  This first arrangement uses the Daffodils and 6mm closed rosebuds.
The bottom arrangement was made with 35mm Large 2-colored Wild Rose, another Daffodil, and some 15mm yellow roses that I took my Copic ABS and airbrushed to match the large wild rose being 2 colors.

I hope you like this fun bright colored card!

Flower Cluster Tutorial

Gather your Wild Orchid Craft Flowers and lay them in the places you want them to be, with all of the stems going the same way.

Twist them all together, one at a time. Here I added another flower, you cant have enough of them!

Here’s the back.

Here’s a smaller cluster I made for the same card.

I tucked the stems behind the image and taped them down.

Here’s the card. You may have to add a little piece of double sided tape to the large flowers just to keep it a little sturdier.

Princess Flowery Fun

Hi Friends~  I hope you are all having a wonderful week!  I have a fun flowery card to share with you today!  I hope you enjoy!  I'm getting ready to head to CHA here in the US...I'm so looking forward to it...it's my first time going!
Today's card features a new Kraftin' Kimmie stamp and Kaisercraft papers.  This princess has been colored with Copics.
Flowers of course are from Wild Orchid Crafts and are a fun mixture.  The large 35mm Wild Rose started off white and I airbrushed it with my Copic ABS again using the colors from Swan Princess' dress.  The 20mm roses are from the Purple/Lilac Floral Foundations pack.  The small roses are 10mm white roses that also have been airbrushed.  To finish off the flower collection is a white Gladioli Stem that too has been airbrushed and then had star dust stickles added to it for some bling!

Winter Poinsettias

Hello fellow crafters and fans of Wild Orchid Crafts! Today I'm showing you some Christmas in July with this card. These gorgeous poinsettias are from Wild Orchid Crafts, of course!

On the front of the card is a large white poinsettia, on the base is a small white poinsettia.

I took apart the poinsettias, curled the petals with my thumbnail, and covered them with Diamond Stickles. After they were dry, I glued them back together with Crafter's Pick Incredibly Tacky Glue. I added some punched snowflakes and pearls for more bling.
I hope you've enjoyed this bit of Christmas in July! Thank you for visiting us today!
Hugs,
April

Blue glittery roses for Christmas & a sneekpeek

I've made my first Christmas card of the year, and wanted to share it with you!
The card is made in all blue and white, and I've used several beautful roses from
Wild Orchid Crafts to embellish it!

I've used Wild Orchid Crafts - Hybrid Tea Roses 25 mm (babyblue), Paper Roses 10mm & 15 mm (navyblue, babyblue, cornflower & grey/navyblue), white Poinsettias (sneekpeek - cooming soon) & Pearl Spray to embellish the card - all springled with geourgeous glass glitter
 to make them sparkle.
The image (and text) from Lili of the Valley's new Christmas People Collection 2010 (launched today), are stamped on aquarellpaper and coloured with Distress Inks. Some of the details have also got a springle of glass glitter. The papers are from Maja Designs Christmas Collection from last year, and the rhinestones are from Kort & Godt. The beautiful "frame" around the image, is created with Marianne Design - CreaTables LR 0112 (Bunny Zoe's Crafts) and Spellbinders - Nesting Classic & Petite Circles.

Thanks for stopping by - have a great day!

Altered Poinsettias

Today I have a card to share using the new poinsettias that I have altered.

lotv-skating-along

I went mad with the Twinklets on the new poinsettias from Wild Orchid Crafts.  First I pulled the flowers to bits (as you do lol) then applied the Twinklets with Glossy Accents to each layer then put them back together again with pearl brads and gold spacers (that I got off Ebay probably about 2 years ago.)

Pink for Her and Blue for Him!

Hi Friends~ YAY it's Friday!  Woo-Hoo!!!  I hope you all have some fun plans for the weekend...in the states we will be celebrating Independence Day this weekend....which means fireworks, parades, cook outs, family, and friends....I'm so excited!!!  I wish you all a wonderful week and what better way to start the weekend then with some flower fun!!!

I've made an easel card and decided to have a his side and her side of the card, which is the reason for the "pink collection for flowers" which are for her and then the "blue collection of flowers" which are for him!
The papers I've used are from the Basic Grey Cappella Collection.  Oh my word do I love these beautiful papers in here....I had to cringe when I cut into them!
For the pink collection I've used a NEW Champagne Pink Classic Sweet Rose, 15mm roses, and 4mm closed rosebuds.  These have all been sparkled up with star dust stickles.  Behind the flowers are some lace...of course I didn't have a cream color lace I wanted...and then I had an AH HA Moment and remembered I have Glimmer Mist!  So I took my Bronze Glimmer Mist and tinted the lace to look more vintage!
Then there is the blue flower collection!  I've used Cream Cherry Blossoms (which have been spritzed with the same Glimmer Mist as the lace), 10mm roses, Gypsophlia flower, and clear Crystal Heart steams.  All these flowers too have been sparklized with star dust stickles.  I hope you have enjoyed my flower inspiration....Happy Weekend to Everyone!
