Positively Pampered in Purples

Hi there!! I hope you're enjoying a wonderful start to your week. 

For my card today, I chose yet another favorite Lili of the Valley image, Positively Pampered…and in fact, this is the card that I gave my Mom for Mother’s Day.  I had actually planned on giving her the last card that I posted, but when I finished this card..it was so much more my Mom, as she loves lavenders and purples too, just like me. 

My mom should really give lessons in how to gush over handmade cards.  She touches every single detail, ask questions about how I did this or that. Mom studies every bit of it, down to the pearls in the corners of the card.  I really do have THE best mom is the world and the way she gushes over the details of a handmade card is so minor in comparison to all the ways I could explain how incredible that woman is, but it still puts such a smile on my face and makes me so happy that she loves it.  It's just like being 5 years old all over again and bringing home a handmade card from first grade for mom.

Good morning today it is my turn to share a creation with you....

I have used Cobwebs and coloured her with markers, the papers are scraps from my little box, I added some Lace with some spotty ribbon, I added Blooms with a Pearl Brad in the centre and my sentiment is from Set 18...

Do you wanna have some coffee?

Care for a coffee? I love what we in Sweden call "fika". Good, strong coffee with a yummie sandwich or a greasy danish pastry, thats my kind of thing. :)

The background is made with paint from Martha Stewart and a stencil from Tim Holtz. The roses, the chrysantemum and the pearls are to find at Wild Orchid Crafts.

Fabulous, Wonderful Friend Canister

A very Happy Day to everyone!! We are so happy to see that you have visited us today to see how we have used some of the lovely products from the Wild Orchid Crafts shop.

I have made a LITTLE gift container to hold some butter mints for a friend. The pictures are a little misleading because the canister is no more than 2.5 inches (6 cm) tall. And I apologize for my photography skills but in real life all of the pinks are the same color but I can't get them to photograph as the same color...sigh...

I used a clear plastic container and covered it with DP from the Maja Sofiero collection. For the side I also used Flat-Back Pearl String, some pre-pleated trim from my stash, Vintage Seam Binding tied into double bows to anchor a couple of heart charms from the Mixed Heart Charm Set. The sentiment is from the Whimsy Stamps Mini Chalkboard Set.

The top panel is cut from the SB Classic and Petite Scalloped Circles. I added two sizes of Open Roses, some tiny 4 mm Rosebuds, a Cameo (which I don't see in the shop today), and a tiny bow made with very narrow satin ribbon.

Sugar Nellie fairy

Morning.  Here’s a sweet Sugar Nellie fairy card using my favourite pretty pastels.

The flowers, seam binding and heart rhinestone embellishment that I used in the centre of the bow are form Wild Orchid Crafts.  The flowers used are cottage rose, cherry blossoms, open roses in 20mm 15mm and lilies.
