Together Forever

This is a favourite of mine Together Forever, I love this one especially as you can imagine what expression they have on their faces, I like to think they are giggling...

I have coloured my image with markers, pencils and chalks, I have sprayed the image with spray and shine to protect the chalks, I have used my nesties to mount this, the papers are Echo Park Yours Truly and Bo Bunny Love Bandit, I have added a strip of Lace and some Pink Seam Binding, I have used a Grunge Stamp on the opposite corners and one of the new Love Sentiments and cut it out and tied it to my bow with a small pearl heart, I have used two more of the Love Sentiments and added some Stardust to make them sparkle. My flowers are Trellis Rose, Lilies, Cherry Blossoms and10mm Open Roses, I have punched my leaves using a Frond Punch.

A Lace Rose!

Hello everyone!

I have a tag to share with you today. I wanted to go for that shabby Chic feel, so I've used lots of lace and flowers. I just love the little lace rose I made. All I did was punch out a 1 1/2 circle,
put some Scor-Tape all over the circle, and started in the center wrapping the lace around. Then I took a pearl brad and stuck it in the center.

Hello there friends! I am here today to share a card with you that I made for my in-law's 40th wedding anniversary.

The card was cut on my Cricut machine and features a Magnolia stamp "Wedding Couple" from the Wedding collection of 2010.

I have used a lot of different flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts...

Self adhesive rhinestones

Seam binding

and Aster Daisies

Ok so I did go overboard a teeny bit, but it was for a special occasion after all!

The card has a little pocket on the back which houses the tag for the message. I needed to create this as I didnt want to write on the inside of the card as it would be seen from the front.

Give Peace a Chance

Hi Friends~ I hope you are all doing wonderful! We are getting blasted with some snow in the midwest U.S right now...so I'm hoping this card brings a ray of sunshine to you all today!

Beautiful WOC flower arrangements consists of a Chrysanthemum, 35mm Trellis Rose, Cherry Blossoms, 15mm Roses, 4mm Rosebuds, Sweetheart Blossoms, and finished with a rhinestone swirls, which WOC has similar ones -->here<--.

Mini arrangement consists of another Chrysanthemum and Sweetheart Blossoms. All flowers were sparklized with Star Dust Stickles.

And one more picture for your viewing! I hope all got some sunshine from this card!

Love Is....Wild Orchid Crafts!!!!

Happy Day, Everyone!! It is such a joy to see you here on the Wild Orchid Crafts Blog and we would love for you to drop by everyday to see what the DT members have made with the gorgeous items available at the Wild Orchid Crafts shop!

With Valentine's Day right around the corner, RED is the word!!! And I have used RED, RED, RED on this little set! I used Deep Red Satin Ribbon tied into a double flat bow to dangle a puffed heart from the Mixed Heart Charm Collection. For the upper left corner I used a lovely Venice Lace Applique Heart as a base for the Red Crochet Flowers which are centered with a white pearl and resting on Mulberry Paper Rose Leaves. Self-Adhesive Pearls to soften all corners. The little candy box used the same materials from WOC!

Let there be light...

...and there was light...

I like the winter I really do, but my favourite season is the summer. The sun, the flowers, the warm water in the lakes, the butterflies... I just felt for create something bright and in pastells so I stamped on a candle and covered it up with cherry blossoms and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Just be careful if you do one your self, take the flowers of if you want to light tha candle, I just gonna have mine any way. Just to look at and dream about the summer. :)

I have a round card to show you today :) The cardbase is made with Spellbinders Grand and I have also used Marianne Design and Spellbinders dies on my card. The rosette is made with a Sizzix die. Papers are from Pion Design and text from Kort og Godt.

My friends are the best!

It's a wonderful Saturday! A good sleep and then a delicious breakfast, just what I need! :) Tonight I will have a bunch of nice girls over for dinner. I love to cook for my friends. Tonight I will serve what we in Sweden call Plankstek. It's a steak, Pommes Duchesse and Sauce Bearnaise on a wooden shelf from an oak. It's something special an SO good!

On this layout of my friend Anna, I have used 15mm's and 25mm's deep red roses and small, coffee brown curly roses. These flowers and many, many, many, many more you can get at Wild Orchid Crafts! The words on the layout says: We have been best friends since ages.

A Tote with lots of WOC products!

I tried stamping on fabric for my very first time on this project. I bought this tote at Michaels for a couple of dollars. It was tricky coloring on canvas because the ink spreads. I just used my Memento Ink and Copics to color. Next time, I will be able to shade a little better, now knowing how the ink spreads. All the embellishments are from the one and only Wild Orchid Crafts Store!

Good morning!

A little blue and red card to share with you today!

Isn't that blue rose amazing? It is a 40 mm Trellis Rose, it is sitting there with some red hybrid 25 mm tea roses and ivory sweetheart blossoms. The twine is also from Wild Orchid Crafts. Hidden to the left is a little white Lily and paper fern leaf.

The stamps and dies are from Magnolia. The papers are Lily Bee Design.

I love these Morehead Stamps and this is one of the new sets I have just got in so had to use it as soon as it arrived (as you do).

For my little Teardrops card I used alot of Wild Orchid Crafts items which would make anyone SMILE!!!! They always brings smiles to my face!!! For the floral treatment I used Carnations and Sweetheart Blossoms with some Long Stem Stamens. I also used some Aqua Divine Twine to tie on a lovely puffed heart from the Mixed Heart Charms collection. Finally I added sparkle with some pretty Self-Adhesive Rhinestones.

Today I am sharing a card I made for the new challenge...

I have used Fan's Cricket, how adorable is she looking at her little friend there, I have coloured her with markers and Chalks, I have used BG Picadilly a gift from a sweet friend, I have as always slightly distressed the edges with chalks, I have added a simple sentiment with someTwine through the top, the flowers are Curly Roses, Aster Daisies, Cherry Blossoms, Sweetheart Blossoms and 10mm Open Roses, I have popped a Crown Pin through the flowers and I have punched my Leaves, and added Butterflies with Amber Gems and of course someStardust as she has to sparkle...

Pretty paper handbag

Hi there! It is Kylie here to share a bit of Wild Orchid inspiration :o)

I used a 12' sheet of heavy/good quility scrapbooking paper and scored it into a little handbag. I love these cute one sheet bags. I used my Cherry Lyn 4" doily die to make the top of the bag.

I have decorated the little bag with...

Venise lace butterfly
adhesive back pearls
40mm Trellis Rose
Sweetheart blossoms
15 mm Open roses (light lime green)
Ivory Gypsophila

The adorable sentiment is by Lili of the Valley.

All of the edges have been inked in Vintage Photo DI.
You can see how the bag is scored from this photo. It is a complete 12 inch sheet, scored into three along the top and side and some triangles on the corner panels and two side panels.

Today is mine, Loreta's day to show you one of my projects, and here it is - A Flower Cup, made for a very dear friend.

I used from WOC:

- Roses 10mm, 15mm and 25mm

- Rosebuds 6mm and 4mm

- Heather

- Tulips

- Cherry blossoms

- Large gardenias 6cm

- White cotton lace

- Pearl trim

- Pearl spray

Just look at those gorgeous flowers! It is so easy to make a project look amazing with WOC flowers and embelishments! Heather works perfectly as a holder for a cup, and those pearls looks so pretty. Love the new pearl trim - its so easy to apply and looks so beautiful on projects.

Beary Big Hugs

I have been playing in my new craft room and enjoying making a massive mess and then closing the door on it, I never have to tidy it unless I want too, anyway on to my card for today one of my all time favourite stamps this is Bells N Whistles and she is called Beary Big Hugs so sweet....

I have coloured her with markers, chalks and a touch of white pen, I have distressed all the edges, the papers were from a friend and are so delicate, I have added a strip of lace also from a friend and my flowers areBeehive Blossom, Cherry Blossom and 15mm Open Roses, I have used Kraft Card and punched my Leaves,Butterfly and added a sentiment with a little Seam Binding, I have as always added some Stardust for a touch of sparkle...

I am really enjoying getting to play with things I have neglected and haven't had the time to use, one of my things is to use things much more weather that be ribbons, images, flowers they are all going to get used now, I have made this card for a special lady who helped me out a few weeks ago but with the time of the year I just never had time to get her a Thank you done....

This image is called Faith and she is a digital version I love these as they are slightly shaded so it is a doddle to colours them, there is lots available now HERE, she has been coloured with markers and pencil, the papers were a gift as was this gorgeous ribbon from a special lady millions of miles away, thank you sweetie, I have added some die cut and pearl hearts, some Butterflies that I have added some Clear Gems too, the gorgeous mix of flowers are Curly Roses, Cherry Blossoms, Aster Daises, 15mm Open Roses, Lillies and Tea Rosebuds I have punched my Leaves, and yes you know me I have added lots of Stardust, the sentiment is from a PI stamp set...

How Many Days 'Til Spring??

Hello, everyone!!! I hope that you have been having a wonderful holiday season...but with the holidays over, my mind wanders to springtime!!! But I also know that there is much snow and ice to get through before that event happens...sigh!!!!

Nothing says springtime more than the lovely, bright flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts!! I have used a beautiful 1 3/8" Trellis Rose from the Blue Tone Set, surrounded by sweet, sweet, Sweetheart Blossoms and emphasized with a couple of Ivory Crown Pins. The horizontal is made with Shocking Pink Organza Ribbon. To finish the front of the card I added some Self Adhesive Pearls.

Diamond Shape Candy Box

Template for this box you can create using diamond die, and it looks like that:

Using the same template, just removing one of the diamond shapes, you can create a triangle diamond shape box as well.

Merry Christmas to all of you! In Sweden we had The Big Day yesterday but I know that other countries celebrate Christmas on the 25th. I'll hope you all have a white Christmas and a wonderful day with family and friends. Here in Sweden we have a lot of snow and it's SO beautiful!

I have made a layout with one of my addictions: santas. I LOVE santas and I have hundreds of them in our house. :) I have used poinsettias and German Glas Glitter, welcome in the shop!

It's my turn to post on the blog today so I thought I would share one of my favourite cards of 2011 and of course it had to be a Christmas card!

The lace, seam binding and flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts. Flowers used are Trellis Rose, tulips, 25mm wild roses, fabric flowers. Tiny pearls have been added to her boots.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, on behalf of Paul and Siri and all of the DT and to thank you for your wonderful support in 2011.

Christmas Basket with a Tutorial

Just one day to go - at least here in Norway :)

Today I'll show you a Christmas Basket I made for one of my crafting classes this December.

It has a hexagon shape, and it's quite easy and fun to make, so I thought I'd even give you the tutorial on how to make it your self :)

The basket is of course embellished with beautiful items from Wild Orchid Crafts!

Embellishments from Wild Orchid Crafts:

Poinsettias, Open Paper Roses 15 mm & 10 mm, Rosebuds 4 mm, Satin Ribbon and Self Adhesive Rhinestones.

How to make this Christmas Basket:

This is what you’ll need:

1 Cardstock + 1 strip of size 4,5 x 30 cm

Designer paper

Adhesives

Glue

Ruler

Papercutter/Scoreboard

Scissors

Edge puncher

Spellbinders circle or doily or something similar

Embellishments

Basket:

Cut 6 squares of cardstock in size 10 x 10 cm.

Cut and fold like the template says:

Use the edge puncher on top of each part.

Cut 6 panels of designer paper in size 7 x 7,5 cm.

Cut as the template says:

Glue the pieces of designer paper on the parts of cardstock.

Glue the parts together so they become a hexagon shaped basket.

Bottom:

Construate a hexagon like this: Draw a circle with a radius of 4 cm. Mark a point on the circle, then a new point 4 cm from the first, a new one 4 cm from the second…and so on, until you have 6 points on the circle. Draw straight lines from point to point, until you have a hexagon. Cut out the hexagon, and glue it to the bottom of the baskets inside.

Punch out a Spellbinder shape and glue it underneath the bottom of the basket, as a plate.

Handle:

Cut a strip of cardstock in size 4,5 or 5 x 30 cm.

Use the edge puncher on both sides of the strip.

Cut a strip of designer paper in size 2,5 x 30 cm, and glue it to the strip of cardstock.

Glue the handle to the inside of the basket.

The basket is now ready to be embellished!

Edges of paper have been accented with 80 grit Gold German Glass Glitter! I absolutely LOVE the added sparkle that this gives! Corners have been decorated with Decorative Metal Corners in Gold.

Embellished Frame Gift!

Hello everyone! I made a gift for a friend this Christmas and I thought I would show it to you. I got the idea from Tab's blog. She made one several months ago.

The frame was covered in Picket Fence Crackled paint then I added the Hanglar girl colored in copics, but the real fun came when I started picking out which gorgeous flowers to add!!! So here you go, this is the list:

35mm Pale Peach Trellis Rose, 30 mm Coral Large Wild Roses, White Cherry Blossoms, White Sweetheart Blossoms, 10mm Pale Peach Open Rose, Gypsophilia, and Large Metal Corners all of these flowers are found at Wild Orchid Crafts!

Christmas is around the corner, I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!

Saint Lucia's Day by Malin ~ Lillpiga

Saint Lucia's Day is the Church feast day dedicated to St. Lucy and is observed on the 13th of December. Its modern day celebration is generally associated with Sweden and Norway plus a few other contries. In traditional celebrations, Saint Lucy comes as a young woman with lights and sweets. It is one of the few saint days observed in Scandinavia. In some forms, a procession is headed by one girl wearing a crown of candles (or lights), while others in the procession hold only a single candle each.

I have made myself my own crown with candles. Saint Lucia's Day is one of the most beautiful days we have in Sweden and in almost every school and work place, there are a procession with singing girls. I have used wild roses, big roses and Organza Rose Trim from Wild Orchid Crafts.

A Cuppa Just for You!

Have you all made your cards for the newest Wild Orchid Challenge?! We are looking so forward to seeing all of your EASEL CARDS!

The fabulous Wild Orchid Crafts Flower Arrangement consists of a 40mm Trellis Rose, 25mm Roses, 15mm Roses, Aster Daisy, Gypsophilas, and 4mm Rosebuds. The white flowers were accented with Frosted Lace Stickles.

I LOVE this cotton lace and making this bow was so easy. Added a mini flower arrangement with an Aster Daisy, and two 4mm Rosebuds.

The bottom of my easel card features some more Wild Orchid goodness! The snowflake on the tag was accented with more Frosted Lace Stickles and the middle of the snowflake was glam'd up with a Large Blue Moonstone Brad. Mini flower arrangement is made with an Aster Daisy, 4mm Rosebuds, and Silver Padded Snowflakes.

Tim Holtz Tag Wild Orchid Crafts Style!

Hello Wild Orchid Crafts friends! How many of you have been following along with the Tim Holtz Twelve Tags of Christmas? Oh, I wish I had time to make them all! Here is my version of one of his tags using my gorgeous Wild Orchid Crafts products!!!!

Here you can see I used the 25mm Deep Red Open Rose, Holly Berries, Semi-open Rose buds, and white cotton lace.

I used the pretty Crystal Drops and I hand dyed some vintage seam binding at the top.

My paper on the tag is from a hymnal book. I found some hymnals at an antique store for 35 cents a piece!

Hi there! Kylie here to share an Aussie Christmas card.

In Australia we celebrate Christmas in Summer so while we adore all of the snowy themed cards and decorations, we are more familiar with spending our Christmas by having a BBQ or at the beach. I think a lot of us are very keen to experience a white Christmas one day, I know I am!

I have used Fairy Fae she is available to buy form Tiddly Inks, she has been coloured with markers (sorry I do not have the colours as I did it ages ago) I have as always distressed all the edges, the paper was a gift from a gorgeous blogging friend, I have added a strip of Seam Binding with a large Pearl Brad on the bow, I have added some Muslin Fabric behind the image, my flowers are Baby's Breath, 25mm Open Roses and 15mm Open Roses, I have added 2 Crown Pins some Clear Gems and of course a Butterfly...
